The Tree Hut Treaty
At the beginning of the term our class read and unpacked this book about a group of children that created a Treaty for their hut to keep the peace. This led to deep discussions about Te Tiriti O Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi) and the creation of our own class Treaty. Below are some of our beautiful Tree Hut creations.

Our Waharoa
Today we learnt about the special meanings behind the carvings and began our sketching. We are working towards creating a Waka Taua in our classroom and researching Māori patterns.
