We are enjoying our term of swimming, and have also had some wonderful swimming instructors visit us. We have learnt some great skills in the water, including how to be a starfish, understanding what happens in our bodies when we float, how to float on our fronts and backs, and swimming lengths. We are getting much more confident in the water.
Welcome to our Whānau 19 Blog with Whaea Arna. We are a combined class of Year 3 & 4 and hope you enjoy following us on our journey of learning.

Whanaungatanga - Getting to know each other
Kia Ora,
I hope you had a wonderful Waitangi weekend. Now that the rain has started it doesn't look like it is going to stop! Great for the garden though. We had a great week getting to know each other, our classroom, and our school. Whanau19 is lucky enough to have a beautiful outdoor area as an extension to our classroom. Doreen Aitken will be working alongside our tamariki to support them in their learning. Mauri Ora - Whaea Arna

I have one teenage son (16) called Kahurangi. I'm really looking forward to getting to know your tamariki (child) this year. One more sleep to go!
