We created our own quills to find out what it would have been like to write in the olden days when the Treaty of Waitangi was signed.
Welcome to our Whānau 19 Blog with Whaea Arna. We are a combined class of Year 3 & 4 and hope you enjoy following us on our journey of learning.

The Tree Hut Treaty
At the beginning of the term our class read and unpacked this book about a group of children that created a Treaty for their hut to keep the peace. This led to deep discussions about Te Tiriti O Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi) and the creation of our own class Treaty. Below are some of our beautiful Tree Hut creations.

MakerSpace Room 18 & 17
Room 18 are really enjoying our MakerSpace Problem Solving Activities and have come up with some very creative ingenious ideas. We also go for gallery walks to Whaea Robyn's room to talk to the students about what they have created and leave comments for them.
Whaea Arna's class sometimes gets very loud when they should be working quietly.
Can you help by designing and creating a solution to my problem?
