Nga mihi nui

Wow, I can't believe this is the first day of Novemeber!
I hope you have had a fantastic weekend.
I went through our family photos. This is my Dad Johny and I picking watercress at Waimarama when I was one.
Can you find one of you when you were a baby or very young?
Start your learning day with Daily Takahe Hui like we do at school and finish with Karakia Whakamutunga. You have Literacy and Numeracy activities, then finish off activities that I have already set.

I will be online from 9.30-11.30 and then again from 1.30-2.30 Please contact me if you need help with setting up online learning or to answer any questions. I look forward to reconnecting and receiving some very cool activities and pics. Remember you can send me a picture of your learning if you're not able to use a device atao@hameast.school.nz

Thursday - Mahi Akomanga

Kia Ora Tamariki ma,

Hope you are all well and healthy. Yesterday I went for a walk down to the awa - the reflection on the water created an elliptical shape like an eye. I also harvested my first Bok Choy! It was scrumptious.

Today please focus on finishing activities that are already set for you, your reading, and mathletics activities.

Anzac Bridges - illuminated like an elliptical-shaped eye.

Waikato Awa - flowing fast with all the recent rain.

Bak Choy from my garden.

Akoranga Kainga Rāapa - Wednesday Home Learning

Kei te pehea te ahua o te rangi? Kei te whiti te ra.

Unfortunately, we won't be back at school this week so let's make the most of the beautiful weather, get creative and spend some quality time with our whanau learning.

There are lots of unplugged activities on our Blog page have an explore.
Remember you can send me a picture of your learning if you're not able to use a device atao@hameast.school.nz

Here's a new karakia for us to learn. Practice your pepeha every day just like we do in class and add our new line in.

Akoranga Kainga Rāhina - Monday Home Learning

Wow, I can’t believe we are back in Level 3 again!

Back in our Bubbles for holidays. I have been busy with my assessments and Kahurangi has been upcycling palettes into garden beds! We are growing tomatoes, silverbeet, parsley, capsicum, courgettes, strawberries, beans, and peas, and lots of flowers to confuse the insects! I wonder how our traps are doing?

Fingers crossed I will see you on Wednesday but here is some learning until then.

Take some time out to learn a new skill, do something that you love, or do something kind for someone. You could also practice our waiata "Follow the Sun", it always helps me to feel calm.

PLAY MAKE CREATE is The Day the Crayons Quit.
